Physician | Leader | Advocate
Your voice comes first.
Being heard isn't the same as having influence.
Doctors need more than another promise to listen. They need an Association willing to ask difficult questions, stand behind its members, and show what has changed.
From CanScreen to strengthening the Representative Assembly and challenging decisions through Audit & Finance, I've tried to lead by example.
Real influence. Meaningful action.
Judge me by what I do, not simply what I say.

Real Influence | Safer Practice | Visible Progress.
‘Leadership is measured by what we do, how we behave and whether we follow through - not simply what we say.’
Physicians make difficult decisions every day, yet too often have too little influence over the decisions shaping how we practise. Our clinical experience should count - in hospitals, clinics, rural communities and within our own Association. I am standing for President-Elect because I believe we can turn that experience into stronger advocacy, better working conditions and visible progress.
Your Voice Comes First
Ask the difficult questions | Strengthen the decisions | Follow through
‘Leadership should be measured by how we act, how carefully we do the work, and whether we follow through - not simply by what we say.’
I am standing because I want physicians' voices to carry real weight in Board decisions. That means asking difficult questions, listening to different views and taking responsibility for the decisions we make together.
Transparency should include personal accountability: I put my name to the questions I ask, explain my position and welcome scrutiny in return.

My Approach
Listen | Question | Challenge | Act
For me, leadership isn't measured by participation in a process. It's measured by the difference we make for the people we serve.
I believe good leadership starts with listening, but having a seat at the table is not enough. What matters is whether the people we represent have a genuine opportunity to influence decisions, and whether those decisions lead to meaningful change.
I'm prepared to ask difficult questions, challenge established thinking and speak up when something isn't working. I value collaboration, but believe it must be accompanied by independent judgment, accountability and the willingness to act.
